—Metauro, The VVV |
Dimas Rendon Soler, alias Metauro , is a professional villain that was blackmailed to advertise on Black Hat Organization's evil plans for villains.
Appearence[]
Metauro is mostly dull red, and heavily muscled. He has a gold collar and bracelets, along with glowing yellow eyes without pupils (which turn white when they cease to emit light). He wears dark red spiked gloves, as well as black suspenders. His face seems to be hidden by a bull mask of the same color as his body, with large, thick horns, a polyhedron-like structure near its top, and two gas mask filters protruding from its lower sides. He also wears a metal belt.
A medical sheet describes him as having dark eyes and short, dark brown hair.
Personality[]
Metauro is an activist against animal abuse, more proeminently against bulls, and was considered an extremist for his actions. His devotion to this cause was such that he once stood in front of a Pamplona Bull Run to stop it. However, he is also not above using violence, slaughtering almost a hundred people who participated in the horrid event. He also seemingly agreed to participate in a fight against the superhero Bicep, for unknown reasons.
Despite all of this, he deeply loves his family, as Black Hat used them as leverage against him in exchange for free advertisement of his product. Also, when Flug offered a large sum of money to any villain that could defeat Demencia, he was the only one who didn't jump in after the cash, instead making his war cry about his family. Furthermore, he seems to be a very amicable person, as he became friends with Dr. Penelope Braxton - to the point where she offered him a friends-and-family discount on repairing and upgrading his mask. He politely declined.
Story[]
Dimas Rendon Soler was a teacher in Malaga University's Biology Department, and he had a beautiful family - his wife, María Rafaela, and four children. In May 20th, 2011, he attempted to stop by himself a bull race, in a mad display of his activism, and was gored by a hundred bulls. He was quickly taken to the hospital, in a near-death state, with multiple internal bleedings, fractures on his arms and permanent damage to his legs, requiring the placement of a metal prothesis in order for him to ever walk again.
After he left the hospital, several DNA tests revealed strange results. Apart from blood samples, the doctors had found taurine DNA, and residue of chemicals, steroids and modified proteins, that would enhance his muscle mass and give him a better cardiac resistance.
At some point in his life, Dimas was investigated by the authorities, as a proeminent pharmacist corporation, Boruzia, had reported a break-in on one of their instalations.
The events seems to have shaken the foundations of his life, as his relationships started to deteriorate. A few months after his accident, he resigned from his position in the university; nearly a year after, in May 15th, 2012, his wife filed for divorce, taking the custody of the children and half of their marital property.
Metauro's debut happened in February 12th, 2013. Donning a bull-inspired costume - which many spectators though to be part of a new act -, he once again attempted to stop a bull race, successfully redirecting the animals to the audience with his bare hands. The event gravely injured over 400 people, with 33 casualties. A month later, Metauro attempted to rob a bank and was intercepted by the superhero El Torero. Dimas fought back and was victorious, escaping with the money and apparently killing the hero.
In 2014, after a noticeable abscence, Metauro returned to the spotlight sporting a new metallic armor and invading a bullfighting event. This time, the villain maimed the matador and kidnapped the bull, leaving and disappearing without a trace.
Calling for help[]
On an unknown date, Dimas wrote a letter addressed to Black Hat, asking for his services. He needed more of the chemical compound that enhanced his strenght, but he was being chased tirelessly by the authorities and the team he had tasked to steal it was "too feeble", in his words. Metauro pointed out that he had no resources to pay the organization yet, but since he heard the villain was open to negotiation, he would be willing to do whatever was necessary to compensate for the service.
An unknown amount of time later, a reply was sent by Black Hat Organization, expressing their interest in his case and instructing him to go to an undisclosed location, to negotiate. This was the first step in Metauro's future with the organization, as he then was affiliated as a member, having his own identification card.
He would, however, have regrets over this decision.
Missing[]
Dimas eventually received an unexpected letter from his associates. Its contents were as follows:
"Mr. Metauro,
This letter has been sent to you with the sole purpose of notifying you that your family finds itself under the care of Black Hat Organization. We need you to come to our facility in Hatsville on December 7th of the current year and declare how our services have helped you to be a good criminal element in your place of origin. Otherwise, your wife and children will never again see the light of day.
Your appointment is at 19h, on an address that will be provided to you soon. I advise you to be on the lookout for our messages and not ignore our warnings. While your testimony is finished, we will proceed to the next phase of the liberation of your family.
On the meantime, proceed naturally with your criminal activities.
Until then, it was a pleasure.
On the day stated on the letter, María Rafaela and her children were last seen at 18h, entering a black car. For at least two weeks, there was no sight of them whatsoever. Dimas attended the appointment and did as he was told, with the hope of at least seeing his family again. Since then, he ceased his activities for at least a month.
At some point after that, he fought the hero Bicep and seemingly lost, as later he went to a friend, Penumbra, for repairs of his suit.
Series[]
Metauro was last seen on Mexico, watching the fight between Dr. Flug and Demencia/Mascara Macabra, and cheering for the latter. Once the doctor offered money to whoever could unmask Demencia, the villain clung to this opportunity to provide for his family, and lunged at the ring. He, however, was quickly dispatched by the possessed fighter, being knocked out with one blow.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Enhanced Strenght: Metauro is very strong, being able to contend against the superhero Bicep. His strenght comes from a serum that he injects in his veins.
- Increased Durability: His armor seems to render him more resilient to physical attacks, as it protected him from a barrage of bullets during his first bank robbery.
- Intellect: Dimas used to be an university teacher, as well as a biologist, with knowledge on biotecnology and molecular biology.
- Stress Management: Metauro is able to keep his tough façade under extreme stress, as seen when he filmed an ad for Black Hat Organization while knowing his family was in Black Hat's clutches; he only broke character once he thought his job was done.
