"The Lost Cases of Boxmore"[1][4] is the third episode of Orientation Videos for Villains, and the fourteenth episode overall.
It follows Black Hat reviewing Lord Boxman, the main villain of OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes (2017-2019).

- The original upload of "The Lost Cases of Boxmore" was taken down shortly after its release.[5] It eventually got reuploaded three days later.[6]
- During the episode's final scenes, all captions are written in Japanese.
- The ending song was sung by series' animator Daniel Hoyo, who also voices Dark Phantom.[7]
- Bishonen Jethro was designed by Rafael Cauich Rivera and voiced by Stephan Silva.[8]
- Ian Jones-Quartey, creator of OK KO!, would later make a comic showing Lord Boxman ranting about the video to Professor Venemous, as a thanks to Alan Ituriel for making the episode and having him assist in it for the show's authenticity.[9]
Cartoon Network/Warner Bros./Hanna Barbera references/cameos[]
- Dick Hardly from The PowerPuff Girls appears in the opening "Before/After" sequence as a "mediocre villain" excelling thanks to the Organization.
- Paperball from The Amazing World of Gumball is shown begrunginly shaking hands with Black Hat before Black Hat drew a villainous face on him.
- Many Cartoon Network villains are shown in small cameos in the Villain Network diagram.
- Clips from The Amazing World of Gumball episode The Job were shown to demonstrate what an evil corporation needs.
- The explosion scene from the Regular Show episode "I See Turtles" was shown when Black Hat pressed the wrong button. The scenes where Krampus and Garrett Bobby Ferguson explodes in the episodes "Christmas in Space" and "High Score" were also shown.
- Many Cartoon Network characters were shown in a montage of Black Hat's robotic infiltrations being more ruthless, including:
- Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory stranded in space and banging on the spaceship to be returned, as a result of his possessed-Hat 9000 computer.
- The scene originally had Dexter shouting to the Computer to let him in, which was edited presumably for time.[10]
- Uncle Grandpa is shown severely brusied cowering in front of a Black Hat controlled, Tiny Miracle while Pizza Steve has been splattered, Mr. Gus' body is stuck in the window and Giant Realistic Flying Tiger's head has been wall mounted. Mauricio Pérez reprised his role as Tiny Miracle (Milagrito).
- Finn and Jake from Adventure Time are shown cowering in front of a Black Hat-controlled BMO armed with weapons. Héctor Emmanuel Gómez reprised his role for the character.
- The montage initially had a scene where Cyborg (from Teen Titans Go!), possessed by a Black Hat top-hat, has an already-defeated Robin at gunpoint with his arm cannon and The Jetsons shaking in fear of a likewised posessed Rosie the Robot armed with weaponed arms. According to animator Diego Mejia, who animated that sequence, they were removed due to copyright issues as the team can only use Cartoon Network original characters and not DC/Warner Bros. properties.[11][12]
- Also according to Mejia, he voiced George and Ami Guillén voiced Rosie in that scene because they didn't have the budget to bring the original dub actors back.[13]
