Trivia[]

  • Episode Lip-Sync: Spanish and English
  • This episode's title was originally uploaded as "The Lost Cases of the Tree House", but was then fixed.
  • The rear protector commercial from "The Lost Cases of Townsville" returns, and the narrator states that he's finally finished it, referencing how Demencia interrupted him mid-advertisement in that episode.
  • Unlike the other episodes of the Orientation Videos for Villains, this episode was uploaded on the second Saturday of the month instead of the first.
    • Alan Ituriel's explanation on Twitter was that Dr. Flug told him Demencia kept breaking the video, and that there was maybe something she didn't like about it.[3]
  • According to animator Diego Mejia, there was initially a scene where Demencia would yell at Flug to turn on the boiler in the middle of a video but it was passed on as the joke didn't make sense since the character does not bathe.[4]

Cartoon Network/Warner Bros./Hanna Barbera references/cameos[]

Cultural reference[]

  • The Cumbancha plane model that stands in Dr. Flug's desk is a nod to Mr. Burns' "Spruce Moose" (Cumbancha in the Latin American dubbing) plane model in The Simpsons episode "$pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling)". That reference was made by animator Diego Mejia who fought with the directors to keep that reference in.[5]
  • The monster that ate Anti-Pops/Malum Kranus, named Gowolik (after the Green Lantern character Kilowog), was inspired by the Olocoons from the Mexican animated mini-series of the same name. The design and namesake was conceived by animator Diego Mejia.[6]
  • The "no internet" scene is a reference to Google Chrome's "There is no internet connection" message which has a side-scrolling dinosaur game within the message.
